Matt Phillips has now been with West Brom for over six years, yet fans still remain undecided on whether he’s any good or not. He’s been used heavily by Steve Bruce this season but fans are unimpressed with his inconsistent performances. In 17 games, the Scotland international has notched up a single goal and one assist. Far below par.

New signing Brandon Thomas-Asante had a debut to remember when he scored a 97th minute equaliser against Burnley earlier this season, but unfortunately, the 23-year-old has only scored twice in 10 games, despite such a promising start. He’s had plenty of time to settle in with the squad, now it’s time for him to show the fans what he can do.

Many believe Kyle Bartley is past it now, with the 31-year-old having become almost prone to mistakes at the back in recent years. His contract is due to expire next summer and the club do not appear to be in a rush to negotiate a renewal. As his performances have gotten worse, so has his popularity amongst the fanbase; it may be best for all parties if Bartley departs at the end of the season.

#12 Jake Livermore – £16,000 (£832,000 per year)

Livermore was Albion’s third highest-paid player whilst the club were in the Premier League, earning roughly £46,000 a week. That deal expired at the start of the year but a one-year contract extension was triggered. The wages offered were considerably less than he was on, but with a total lack of interest from other clubs, the 32-year-old has likely just cashed in, knowing the end is near.

#11 Dara O’Shea – £17,000 (£884,000 per year)

O’Shea has been a first team player for some time now, with many fans believing that it won’t be long before the centre-back gets given the captain’s armband on a permanent basis. The 23-year-old has been involved in all 18 matches for the Baggies this season.
