In an enthralling campaign which saw Albion ditch their longstanding connotations based around sitting back and defending, Bilic brought fresh and exciting football back to the Hawthorns. A total of 77 goals were scored in their promotion season. Here are our personal top five favourites.
#5 Matheus Pereira vs Swansea

The second goal reflected all of Bilic’s hard work: a sweeping counter attack which started with a Ferguson tackle in his own half and saw seven Albion players involved.
It only took a total of 15 seconds before Pereira slotted the ball inside the near post following Gibbs’ cutback. This goal epitomised all that Bilic had instilled in his team. A goal even Liverpool would be proud of.
Final score: West Brom 5-1 Swansea.
#4 Matheus Pereira vs Bristol City

Finding himself with a freekick positioned bang on the edge of the 18-yard box, you would not want anyone else stood over the ball with the form that he was in.
Despite remarks from Sky commentators about needing to go for power from this range, following a short run up, he exquisitely placed the ball in the top left corner.
As the goalkeeper stood rooted to the spot and the travelling away fans watched helplessly on, it really was a statement goal from Albion’s magic man.
Notable mention also goes to Diangana and his silky backheel to tee up Gibbs for the opener.
Final score: West Brom 4-1 Bristol City.
