#5 Jake Livermore – £25,000 p/w
Embed from Getty ImagesAs the Albion captain, you likely would have expected to see Livermore fairly high up this list. He also played virtually week in, week out, for the Baggies in the Championship this season, so has arguably earned his wages.
#4 Ahmed Hegazi – £26,500 p/w
Embed from Getty ImagesThe Egyptian Giant is, most fans will agree, of a Premier League quality, therefore justifies his wages. Whenever he’s been needed, Hegazi has stepped in and performed his duty with the utmost professionalism. A key cog in Bilic’s Albion machine.
#3 Kieran Gibbs – £30,000 p/w
Embed from Getty ImagesThe former Arsenal full-back would have taken a drop in wages to join the Baggies back in 2017 and his salary in the Championship is probably the lowest he’s received in some years. But that’ll soon return to normal now that the club have returned to the Premier League.
#2 Sam Johnstone – £32,500 p/w
Embed from Getty ImagesAlbion’s first-choice goalkeeper and former Man United understudy, Johnstone was bound to be high up on the list.
#1 Charlie Austin – £50,000 p/w
Embed from Getty ImagesPerhaps a surprising name to find at the very top of this list, and to be on considerably more than his teammates too. Austin has only scored 10 goals for the Baggies this season and struggles to play a full ninety minute match.
