#3 Phil Jones (Daily Star)

Signed by Manchester United from Blackburn in the summer of 2011 by Sir Alex Ferguson, Jones quickly rose to prominence at a young age and managed to maintain a spot in the Red Devils side up until the start of this season, when he was excluded from United’s 25-man squad by Solskjaer.
Now an outcast at Old Trafford, interested clubs have begun to swarm, with Albion being one of them.
This could be a fantastic deal for the Baggies, as United are willing to part with the England international on a loan deal and will pay a considerable proportion of his £120,000-per-week wages to facilitate a deal.
Derby are another club rumoured to be interested in the centre-back, but Jones will most likely be keen on signing for a Premier League side, rather than drop down to the Championship, which gives Albion a good chance of securing a deal.
#2 Cenk Tosun (Sunday People – 27/12, page 57)
Embed from Getty ImagesCenk Tosun has done very little in Merseyside since arriving from Besiktas for around £20m in January 2018. He was sent out on loan to Crystal Palace earlier this year, from January to March, but only managed one goal in five games.
His inability to perform in the Premier League is a stark contrast to his form at international level with Turkey, where, in the 2019-20 UEFA Euro Qualifiers, he scored five goals and provided two assists in six matches.
He is clearly a player with a lot of talent, but what he’s lacking at the moment is confidence in front of goal.
Tosun has played just four times for the Toffees this season, all of which were as a late substitute.
Allardyce has worked with Tosun before and had high praise for the striker whilst at Everton, and a possible loan deal this January could be just what the 29-year-old needs to rediscover his goalscoring form.
