#8 Kamil Grosicki – £25,000 p/w (£1,300,000 per year)

Grosicki is set to leave the club in January, either on loan or on a permanent deal (Nottingham Forest are rumoured to be the frontrunners). The Poland international has only made a single appearance for the Baggies so far this season, and with wages like that, the club might be glad to offload him sooner rather than later.

#7 Filip Krovinovic – £29,150 p/w (£1,515,800 per year)

Krovinovic, who did so well for the Baggies last season, has had a tough time in the Premier League so far. He is currently in on loan from Benfica, and whilst his wages rank him fairly highly on this list, it’s unknown how much of his actual wage is being paid by Benfica — whether it’s split between the clubs or paid in full by Albion. Either way, it’s a costly amount to pay for a player who spends most of the time on the bench.

#6 Hal Robson-Kanu – £30,000 p/w (£1,560,000 per year)

Robson-Kanu did very well in the Championship last season but, like many others on this list, has failed to replicate that form in the top flight. He has been regarded as a back-up striker for a while now, so his mere five appearances so far this campaign won’t surprise too many; but what will likely come as a surprise are just how high his wages are. For a bench player, £30,000 a week is one way to burn a hole in the board’s pocket.

#5 Sam Johnstone – £32,500 p/w (£1,690,000 per year)

As the first-team goalkeeper, Johnstone was always going to be high up on this list. His performances so far this season have been superb, too, so, as of writing, he’s showing that he fully deserves the amount he’s being paid.
