His performances in the Championship last season alongside Jake Livermore were outstanding, and the pair were credited by the fans as being integral to the side’s push for promotion. However, his start to life in the Premier League hasn’t been as great, but there is still time for him to find his feet.

#14 Kyle Bartley – £13,500 p/w (£702,000 per year)

A threat from set-pieces, the 29-year-old has been a useful addition to the squad and enjoyed plenty of playing time last season under Slaven Bilic. It remains to be seen whether he’ll be used as much by Allardyce.
#13 Semi Ajayi – £16,500 p/w (£858,000 per year)
