West Bromwich Albion are looking to sign Wigan midfielder Joe Williams this summer, according to Football Insider.
The Baggies are one of many clubs exploiting Wigan’s current turmoil, following the Latics’ relegation to League One after entering administration.
This has meant that the club will need to offload players — even their prized assets — as soon as possible in order to recoup funds to pay off debts.
Williams could be available for as little as £1.5m — a total bargain for any side that manages to sign him this summer.

Williams was developed in Everton’s youth academy, progressing through the ranks of their U-18 and U-23 squad but never managed to fully break into the senior squad before being sold to Wigan in July 2019.
He’s widely regarded as a player with a lot of potential, so it’s no wonder that the Albion board have him on their radar.
