West Bromwich Albion and Leeds United will compete for KAA Gent left-back Milad Mohammadi, according to Football Insider.
Now that Kieran Gibbs has been placed on the transfer list, West Brom are eagerly looking for a new left-back — and they may just have found the right one in Mohammadi.
The 26-year-old was named in the Jupiler Pro League’s team of the season for the 2019/20 campaign, despite only making 18 appearances, which is a clear testament to how good he’s been for the club.
In those 18 matches he featured in last season, Mohammadi secured six clean sheets, scored a single goal and provided two assists.
He also made two appearances in the Europa League for Gent.

There are some doubts about whether Mohammadi could realistically adjust to the demands of the Premier League, though, as the highest levels that the 26-year-old has played at have been the Russian Premier Liga and Belgium’s Jupiler Pro League.
Football Insider predict that £6.3m would seal the deal for Mohammadi if a club makes an offer for him this summer.
This is affordable for the Albion, but they must ensure that he’s the right sort of player to fill the gap left behind by Kieran Gibbs; otherwise, he may be yet another obscure player who turns out to be a complete flop.
