Bruno Petkovic is a 25-year-old striker who currently plays for Dinamo Zagreb in the Croatian top flight.

Petkovic scored 13 goals and provided 12 assists for Zagreb in all competitions last season, including one goal in the Europa League and four goals in the Europa League qualifiers.

As a Croatia international with eight games and five goals under his belt already, former Croatia boss, Slaven Bilic, could have a strong connection to Petkovic, and the pair could get on very well if the forward decides on a move to the Hawthorns.

Petkovic has played for a variety of teams in his career so far, including Catania, Varese, Reggiana, Virtus Entella, Trapani, Bologna, Hellas Verona, and now Dinamo Zagreb.

Valued at £9.9m by Transfermarkt, Petkovic is likely to be a costly purchase for the Baggies, but they know that a prolific striker is what’s needed this season if they wish to avoid the dropzone, so they might have to splash the cash to make Petkovic theirs.

Moreover, the 25-year-old would definitely be an upgrade on Austin, Zohore and Robson-Kanu, so it could very well be a solid step in the right direction.
