West Brom have joined Ligue 1 side Lille in the race to sign Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos, according to the Daily Record.
Lille are set to bid £17m for Alfredo Morelos this summer, whilst West Brom wait in the wings, preparing a rival offer.
It’s understood that the French side have agreed personal terms with Morelos but are yet to agree on a transfer fee with Rangers, already having had bids rejected for the 24-year-old.
West Brom are in desperate need of a striker and Morelos appears to fit the bill perfectly, so the Baggies might just be willing to spend big to get their man.
Alfredo Morelos is a 24-year-old striker who currently plys his trade in the Scottish Premiership for Rangers.
He has scored a total of 29 goals across all competitions — including six in eight Europa League games.
Morelos also represents his country, Colombia, having featured in six international matches since making his debut back in September 2018.

He has a history of being sent off the pitch as a result of his anger issues, which makes him a loose cannon and somewhat of a liability for the club he plays for.
Slaven Bilic will have to weigh up the pros and cons of signing Alfredo Morelos before he gives the board the green light to bid £17m — which is a hefty chunk of this season’s transfer budget.
