The board were forced to give in and accepted a £5.5m offer from Watford for the 29-year-old defender in the summer of 2019.
It was a rather nasty ending to his time with the Baggies, as he’d featured in an impressive 225 games before he fled.
Dawson has just been relegated with Watford.
#7 Diomansy Kamara (Fulham) – £6.0m

As many fans will remember, Kamara was a great footballer but had a tendency to be quite temperamental which was displayed through his lack of professionalism whenever things did not go his way.
The Senegal international had scored a respectable 23 goals for the Baggies in his final season with the club in the Championship and had caught the eye of West Ham, but it would be the Cottagers who ultimately secured his signature.
