Jon Leko was unfortunately injured during his loan spell with Charlon after a promising start in which he scored five goals and assisting four more in his 21 appearances at the Valley.

Leko had also spent some time on loan with Bristol City but failed to make much of an impact.

The young forward has only featured in 11 games for the Baggies, and he last appeared on the bench for Albion in the opening day victory against Nottingham Forest as an unused sub.

What he needs now is a full season in the Championship to really show the doubters what he’s capable of.

Kyle Edwards scored twice in 26 appearances for West Brom in their promotion campaign.

With goals against Nottingham Forest and Swansea City, the 21-year-old may look for more regular football next season to realise his potential.

The skillful left midfielder may be available for loan, especially if Albion sign Grady Diangana on a permanent basis from West Ham United.

The 20-year-old midfielder, who last season signed a 3-year contract to keep him at the Hawthorns until 2022, could use a loan deal to push himself back into Slaven Bilic’s plans.

Harper was on loan at Blackburn Rovers but only made four appearances. What he needs is a full season to push himself into contention for a starting role in the coming years.

He looked to be a first team star under Darren Moore and Jimmy Shan but faded away once Bilic came in. A year in the Championship is now necessary in order to give Harper the confidence he needs to grow as a professional.
